More Men in Early Childhood Campaign:
Martyn Mills-Bayne as Coordinator of the MENtor Program for Males in ECE has set the goal of raising the number of men studying to become qualified Early Childhood Educators at the University of South Australia from the current 4% (2016) to 10% by 2020. This is an extremely aspirational goal given the consistently low numbers of men choosing to study ECE at university, but it is better to try and fall short, than to never try at all. Engagement with students studying at UniSA College, TAFE SA, and High School students will help raise awareness of ECE as a study and career pathway, and viral media marketing strategies will target men who may never have considered ECE as a career option.
10% by 2020
